Once upon a time

Once upon a time there was a tale about a princess who fell in love with the gardener. When her father found out that she did, he gave her two choices, two doors that would decide the gardeners’ fate. Behind the first door there was a hungry lion, and behind the second door there was a lady. Which one would you have picked? The author never revealed what the princess chose.
